Rail traffic to Saurashtra will be affected on June 17 on account of the ongoing doubling work between Viramgam and Surendranagar sections.

RAJKOT: Rail traffic to Saurashtra will be affected on June 17 on account of the ongoing doubling work between Viramgam and Surendranagar sections. The movement on the stretch will remain completely suspended for four hours between 11:40 am to 3:40 pm.
Railway officials said that Ahemdabad-Somnath Intercity Express (19119) departing from Ahmedabad at 10:30 am will be short terminated at Viramgam and will be reversed from Viramgam.
The train will remain partially cancelled between Viramgam and Surendranagar.
Similarly, Somnath-Ahemdabad Intercity Express (19120) departing from Somnath at 6:30 am will be short terminated at Surendranagar and will be reversed from Surendranagar. So, it will remain partially cancelled between Surendranagar and Viramgam.
Okha-Viramgam Passenger (59504) departing from Okha at 3:00 am will also be short terminated at Surendranagar and reversed from there. In the same manner Viramgam-Okha Passenger (59503) departing from Viramgam at 12:40pm will remain partially cancelled between Viramgam and Surendranagar.
“Passengers are requested to take note of the arrangements to avoid any inconvenience and detailed information is available with concerned railway stations,” said a railway official.
