Mayor writes to PCB for water quality test
ALLAHABAD: In view of complaints of contaminated water supply in several parts of the city, mayor Abhilasha Gupta, on Monday, wrote a letter to the regional officer of Pollution Control Board.
The Mayor, in the letter, urged him to form a team to test the quality of water being supplied in these localities.
She also mentioned that though people are complaining about contaminated water supply but Jal Sansthan has maintained that the quality of water is pure as the test has shown positive results.

There appears to be a contradiction in the report of water quality given by Jal Sansthan and the complaints of the people. Therefore, Pollution Control Board should check the quality of water being supplied in various localities.
Talking to TOI, mayor Abhilasha Gupta said, “People are complaining about the supply of contaminated water in the city and even have shown water samples in bottles but Jal Sansthan is maintaining that water supply is pure. Therefore, I have requested the officers of Pollution Control Board to form a team and conduct test of the water being supplied in different localities.”
