NEW DELHI:
Jagjeet Singh Deswal, private secretary to Union minister
Sushma Swaraj, has taken voluntary retirement from service. A home ministry order dated June 15, says he is now at the disposal of Delhi Police.
“Consequent upon the premature repatriation of Jagjeet Deswal and joining back in the cadre, his services are placed at the disposal of the Delhi police with immediate effect,” the order reads.
Deswal, a Delhi and Andaman and Nicobar Islands Police Services officer, had been recently inducted into the Indian Police Service (IPS).
Last September, Deswal was appointed to the post for five years or on coterminous basis with the tenure of the minister.
