NURPUR: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau today caught a patwari taking bribe at Sidhpur Ghad, Jawali subdivision.

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau today caught a patwari taking bribe at Sidhpur Ghad, Jawali subdivision.

Officials said they had received a complaint from Chain Singh, a local resident, stating that patwari Rai Singh was demanding Rs 5,000 from him for registering a will. The officials laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed.

A case under Sections 7 and 13 (2) of the Anti-Corruption Act has been registered. The accused will be presented in the Dharamsala court tomorrow. — OC
