The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation Employees Union has stated that corporation workers will get revised HRA as applicable to State government employees as per Pay Revision Commission (PRC) scales.
The implementation will be from August, along with the revised scales.
The RTC management has agreed to apply the revised HRA wherever applicable to the employees of both States, the union said in a press release on Saturday.
Through this revision, those working in Nandyal, Proddutur, Ongole, Vijayanagaram, and Kovvur will get 20 per cent HRA, up from the existing 14.5 per cent.
Those working in Palasa, Parvathipuram, Jaggaiahpet, Macharla, Piduguralla, Repalle, Venkatagiri, Badwel, Jammalamadugu, Pulivendula, Rajampet, Dhone, Puttur, and Palamaneru will get 14.5 per cent, up from the existing 12 per cent.
The revised HRA will be applicable retrospectively from June 2, 2014 onwards, the release said.
City allowances too will be paid on par with the government employees for the RTC employees working in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Kovvuru, Tirupathi, Tirumala, Nellore, Kadapa, Kurnool, and Anantapur.
