Akshay Kumar to be directed by Vipul Shah in 'Namastey England'

Vipul Shah has directed Akshay Kumar in four out of a total of five films (Aankhen, Waqt, Namastey London, Action Replayy) in his career.
Apart from both having come from humble backgrounds, they are not just good friends but Vipul was one of the first directors to have realised how underrated Akshay was as an actor. While the world has discovered his talent today, Vipul always knew that Akshay can do any kind of film, be it romance, drama, action or comedy.

Namastey England, being produced by Akshay Kumar, has a love story inspired from a true story and while it too, like Namastey London, will have Punjab and London in its backdrop, it is not a sequel in terms of story and is in fact, a totally new and unique love story with a special twist.

The female lead has a performance-based role and is currently being cast, but Vipul plans to start shooting the film in January 2016 for a second half-2016 release.
