Youth dies at CISF recruitment drive

A Mirzapur youth collapsed and died during physical test of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) recruitment drive in Anpara of Sonebhadra district on Thursday. He was identified as Nandlal (19). Three other aspirants too fell unconscious during the same test.

VARANASI: A Mirzapur youth collapsed and died during physical test of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) recruitment drive in Anpara of Sonebhadra district on Thursday. He was identified as Nandlal (19). Three other aspirants too fell unconscious during the same test.
According to reports, CISF’s constable general duty recruitment drive was launched on May 25 at CISF Ground in Anpara.
The drive was to continue till July 22 and physical test was scheduled on Thursday morning.
During the sprint, that started at 6am, Nandlal took a lead in the second lap but collapsed within few minutes.By the end of sprint round, three other aspirants, including Vikas Jaiswal and Sandeep Jaiswal of Varanasi and Rahul of Phoolpur, too fell unconscious.
They were immediately rushed to a local hospital where doctors declared Nandlal of Kusumhi village under Chunar police station of Mirzapur brought dead. CISF senior commandant M Rashid and assistant commandant Arun Kumar informed reporters that Nandlal and other aspirants fell unconscious during sprint round. They were rushed to hospital where Nandlal was declared dead.
The officials said that actual cause of death would be ascertained by postmortem report. Sources claimed that few pain killers were recovered from Nandlal’s bag. Anpara police station officer SN Yadav said that other aspirants said that Nandlal collapsed as he tried to maintain his lead. Yadav further said that Nandlal had gained consciousness on reaching hospital but collapsed once again. He said that the body was handed over to family after postmortem examination.
