Jagran Prakashan (JPL) witnessed a rise in share price on Friday after it completed acquisition of 'Radio City'. The company in their board meeting on Dec. 16, 2014 had approved the entry of the company into the radio industry via acquisition of Music Broadcast Private (MBPL).
"This acquistion further consolidates our position as India's leading Media and Communications conglomerate and strengthens our portfolio of leading media brands,'' said Mahendra Mohan Gupta, CMD, Jagran Prakashan.
Shares of the company are trading at Rs 114.20, up Rs 0.7, or 0.62% at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Friday at 10:47 a.m.
The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs 115.20 and low of Rs 114.20. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE is 3,209.
