Shahid Kapoor, who had been approached to judge the new season of celebrity dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa", has finally given his nod.
According to a report in The Times of India, the channel has sealed the deal with Shahid, who will now make his small screen debut as judge of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8".
While fans of Shahid will rejoice, the news is sure to disappoint Madhuri Dixit fans, as the "Udta Punjab" actor will be replacing the gorgeous actress.
For the past four seasons, Madhuri's presence had been adding glamour to the show.
Shahid's dancing skills and wedding plans are sure to bring charm and freshness to the show.
Interestingly, for the first time, the reality show will have all male celebrities taking up the panel of judges.
Besides, Shahid, choreographer Ganesh Hegde will take the judge's seat replacing Remo D'Souza. The only judge to be retained from the previous season is Karan Johar.
Meanwhile, several names of probable contestants of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8" that is gearing up for hit the screen soon, have emerged.
Former "Balika Vadhu" actress Neha Marda, "Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon" actor Vivian Dsena, Kavita Kaushik aka Chandramukhi Chautala of "FIR" and "Rangrasiya" actress Sanaya Irani have been approached for the upcoming season.
Besides them, Radhika Madan aka Ishani from "Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi", Parth Samthaan, Dipika Samson aka Simar from "Sasural Simar Ka", Moroccan model Nora Fatehi, child artiste Faisal Khan and Puneet Issar are likely to participate in "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8".
