AITUC protest on Monday

June 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:40 am IST - Bidar:

Members of the All India Trade Union Congress (Bidar unit) will participate in an all-India strike against the Union government’s attempts to water down labour laws in Bidar on June 15.

In a memorandum submitted to the government, they criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi of heading a government that was slowly, but surely, recalling all pro-labour laws as per the demands of big business.

They criticised the inter-Ministerial Central team for going “only to the field of rich horticulture farmers’’ during its visit to the district to assess rain damage recently.

Baburao Honna, Jagannth Maharaj and others signed the memorandum.
