The Mysuru Dasara exhibition premises will be revamped at a total cost of Rs. 5 crore.
Over 145 new shops will be constructed. R. Murthy, chairman of the Karnataka Exhibition Authority, and K.L. Basavaraju, CEO, said KEA has decided to ensure durability of roads inside the exhibition premises at a cost of Rs. 130 lakh.
Two pavilions will be repaired at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh.
Rainwater harvesting units will be set up at a cost of Rs. one crore, Mr. Murthy said, adding that the Centre for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology had been assigned the work.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will lay the foundation stone for renovation works on the exhibition premises on Friday.
