LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) sought explanation from NADRA officials in ten days for not issuing identity cards to overseas Pakistanis on time today.  

Justice Farrukh Irfan was hearing the petition during which the petitioner’s counsel told the court that NADRA is not issuing identity cards to overseas Pakistanis in a timely manner due to which they are facing difficulties.

 The judge remarked that overseas Pakistanis are an asset of the nation whereas it is a matter of public interest therefore the government should resolve the issue immediately.

The court, while adjourning the hearing, sought explanation from NADRA authorities in ten days.
