CBCA register easy wins

AHMEDABAD: Good all-round performance by Rujul Bhatt (100 runs and 4/11) and a magnificent hundred by Manprit Juneja (145) helped Central Board for Cricket Ahmedabad (CBCA) beat Combine District XI by an innings and 202 runs in the Reliance Senior Inter-District Cricket Tournament played at Motera A ground.
Batting first CBCA scored 380 for the loss of seven wickets and in reply, Combine District XI could muster on 45 runs in the first innings and 133 runs in the second.
Brief scores: CBCA 1st Innings 380/7 (Manprit Juneja 145, Rujul Bhatt 100, Smit Patel 70; Harsh Jadav 3/65) beat Combine District XI 45 (Mayur Rasaliya 14; Dhrushant Soni 3/9, Nilesh Chauhan 3/21, Mohit Thadani 2/10, Pranjal Sutaria 2/1) & 133 (Mayur Rasaliya 43, Digvijay Amarnath 42; Rujul Bhatt 4/11, Pranjal Sutaria 2/22).
CBCA emerged winners in the U-16 category as well defeating Combined District XI by virtue of the first innings lead at GCA Academy Ground.
Brief scores: Combine District XI 103 (Ajay Nai 37; Suraj Suryal 5/18, Dhruvang Patel 2/31, Shivam Patel 2/26) & 208 (Tilak Chauhan 69, Zaid Mansuri 44; Dhruvang Patel 3/62, Suraj Suryal 3/67, Varun Joshi 2/22) lost to CBCA 210/6 (Rudra Patel 95, Smith Patel 56, Satyam Yadav 45; S Shrivastava 3/90) & 86/5 (Smith Patel 41; S Shrivastava 2/30).
CBCA also registered an easy innings and 215-run win over Anand in the U-14 category.
