A Bangalore school allegedly asked a newly-appointed teacher to stop wearing a headscarf to school. When the teacher, Shahina Salma, refused, she was asked to resign.

According to The News Minute report Jubilee school which is located in Vijinapura, near Whitefield in Bangalore and is managed by Kerala Samajan.
Not listening to the principal's direction, when Shahina went to the school wearing the headscarf, she was allegedly told her that she had been replaced by someone else and asked her to submit a resignation letter.
Shahina, who hails from from Malappuram district in Kerala, had moved to the city to live with her husband. SHe has a 4-year-old daughter. She applied for the position of assistant mistress at Jubilee school and subsequently was called for an interview on May 10.
