Renowned spiritual personality Sadguru Sivananda Murthy of Anandavanam, Bheemunipatnam, who passed away at Gurudham in Warangal in the wee hours of Wednesday was a guiding light for many in the region. He came to Bheemunipatnam in 1978 and established Anandavanam. Guruji used to say that he had a strong bond with the place since his previous birth, the locals recalled. Some of his known books are ‘Bharatiyata’, ‘Maharishula Charitra’ and ‘Khata Yogam’ and he also got translated ‘Sanjeeta Raja’, written by Mira Bai’s husband on Hindustani classical music, into Telugu. He had provided script for ‘Buddha’, a film produced by his son Rajasekhar which won the Nandi award.
