Common service centres to issue plastic Aadhaar cards

Those eligible to receive, or have received, the Aadhaar card can get it in plastic card format from the common service centres run by the Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation.

In a press release, District Collector V.K. Shanmugam said that those eligible should submit at the centres the registration number given at the time of providing the biometric details.

The processing fee is Rs. 40. The Aadhaar number would be downloaded and printed on a plastic card.

Those who had already obtained the card in paper format could get the plastic cards by submitting their Aadhaar number along with Rs. 30 as processing fee, the release said.

People may visit the centres between 9.45 a.m. and 5.45 p.m. on all working days.

The e-centres function at Kancheepuram, Sriperumpudur, Uthiramerur, Chengalpattu, Madurantakam, Cheyyur, Tiruporur, Thirukazhukundram, Tambaram, Alandur and Sholinganallur, the release added.
