Due to the rise of private space travel, it won't just be elite pilots able to ride in a centrifuge at high g-force without puking who get to go to space. There could soon come a time when we'll all know what it's like to leave Earth's orbit. Hopefully, we won't find a way to squander it by doing something really stupid in outer space just because we can. Oh, wait...

PornHub, the free porn website people pretend not to know about when their partners discover it in their browser history, wants to harness the awesome power of privately funded space flights to shoot the first sex tape in outer space. It's launched an Indiegogo campaign for a project it's calling "Sexploration" (presumably because "Astronaughty" and "The Upright Stuff" were already trademarked) to raise the $3.4 million it says it needs to put a pair of porn stars outside of Earth's orbit.

Adult film stars Eva Lovia and Johnny Sins will star in this ambitious porn project, should it get funded. They explained the company's plans for the "Sexploration" project in a video, just removed from YouTube, featuring them on the set of what appears to be their upcoming film, "Cosmoans: A Spanktime Odyssey Starring Neil DeAsse Tyson."

"Our work is definitely cut out for us," PornHub says on its Indiegogo page. "We need to train and outfit our crew, consult with a dedicated team of specialists, purchase custom modified film equipment, and completely fund the use of the shuttle that'll take us on our journey to space."

So far, PornHub's raised just over $1,400 toward its lofty $3.4 million goal to do that with 60 days left in the campaign, but it's hoping to entice potential donors with rewards such as early access to the film; PornHub swag bags; props and costumes from the film once it's made; and private meet-and-greets with the film's stars (it's BYOHS, bring your own hand sanitizer).
