Pakistan says don’t daydream, we’re not Myanmar

Pakistan PM’s adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz spoke in Parliament against Indian PM Narendra Modi’s remarks in Dhaka that Pakistan was instigating terrorism in India.

Pakistan hit back at India after R S Rathore described the Myanmar raid as a warning to other countries. “Pakistan is not like Myanmar,” Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan said. “Those having ill designs against Pakistan should listen carefully that our security forces are capable of matching response to any adventurism… Indian leaders should stop daydreaming.”

Pakistan PM’s adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz spoke in Parliament against Indian PM Narendra Modi’s remarks in Dhaka that Pakistan was instigating terrorism in India. “Pakistan will take all possible steps to expose India’s role in the breakup of East Pakistan in 1971 and its threat to destabilise Pakistan through terrorism,” Aziz said.

A military conference in Rawalpindi, chaired by Army chief Raheel Sharif, took “serious notice of recent Indian hostile rhetoric coupled with their covert & overt actions to destabilise Pak”. Raheel “reiterated resolve to defeat their designs… None should dare to cast an evil eye on Pakistan,” military spokesman Major General A S Bajwa tweeted.

Myanmar, LoC different: GoC

In Srinagar, GoC of 15 Corps Lt General Subrata Saha said the strike in Myanmar cannot be linked to the situation along the LoC. “The Manipur incident is according to the circumstances there. I would not like to connect one with the other… A response to any operational situation is based on the situation in that area,” he said.
