Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (Airy) group President Pushpesh Tripathy has demanded a CBI probe into Kedarnath disaster relief irregularities that surfaced recently.
Addressing a press conference in Dehradun today, Tripathy said the state Congress government in Uttarakhand was neck-deep in corruption, which has been amply revealed in the Kedarnath disaster relief scam.
He said the people of Uttarakhand are in deep resentment following revealing of Kedarnath disaster relief irregularities. He said the state Congress government should have immediately recommended a CBI probe so that the culprits face stringent action.
Tripathy said that on June 14, UKD workers will be staging Chetawani Yatra in Dehradun against the Chief Minister, seeking action against those behind the Kedarnath disaster relief irregularities.
Senior UKD (Airy) leaders PD Raturi and Shivanand Chamoli were also present at the news conference.
