It had seemed like another case of a luxury car owner being at loggerheads with an automobile major. But for now, the crisis has been stalled.
This time the complainant in question is Bunty Sajdeh, CEO of Cornerstone Sport & Entertainment, who says that Audi had sold a defective Audi A6 to him. Sajdeh is now in talks with Audi India to resolve the problems he has faced with his car.

The latest development comes after Sajdeh's lawyer Rahul Dhawan sent a legal notice to Audi and its India head Joe King on behalf of Sajdeh. According to the notice, "The car which is only 18 months old has manufacturing defects; such defects have not been fully diagnosed yet, let alone being rectified." The notice further stated that Audi India "has been deficient in providing services".

The notice, reviewed by ETPanache, asked Audi to "immediately replace the car with a new car of the same model and specifications and deliver the same to (Sajdeh); pay compensation on account of EMI paid by (Sajdeh) towards the loan taken by him in the financing scheme provided by Volkswagen Finance."

A meeting date has already been set up with both the parties. A spokesperson from Audi India says, "We have been in constant touch with Bunty Sajdeh and are trying to address his concerns to his satisfaction."
