Bengal is teeming with talent at this moment and Bollywood, for one, has taken notice. With Bengali directors, composers, actors and singers making waves on the national front, it is only acceptable that once in a while, one of them will be mistaken for another one. But the best part about that is, no one seems to mind. This is what happened recently to
Sujoy Ghosh, acclaimed director of
Kahaani, when the success of
Pikuwas acredited to him, instead of Shoojit Sircar.
Apparently, an antire family fawned over him taking him to be
shoojit Sircar, the director of
Piku.
His tweets read:
Today a family took so many photos with me.. shook hands.. hugs.. the whole works .. they were so happy that i made Piku :)))))))If people mistake me for @ShoojitSircar ..who am i to disagree :) and getting credit for a film like Piku? i will happily chance pe dance :) And to Sujoy's tweets, Shoojit replied,
@sujoy_g ha :))) and sometimes they think I made KAHANI:)
IN PICS: Amitabh Bachchan rides bicycle through Kolkata for Piku shoot Incidentally, this is not the first time confusion has hit the two directors. Even during the release of Shgoojit's earlier film,
Madras Cafe, Sujoy had to unwittingly put on the garb of Sircar. He posted on twitter too, "The reason I am promoting 'Madras Cafe' is because a lot of people are coming up to me and congratulating me! So since I am Shoojit Sircar, I should."
In Pics: Special screening of Piku in Kolkata Well, if neither of them are complaining, we are absolutely fine with this role playing.
