Back to old unhygienic conditions

June 09, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:37 am IST

After a week of ‘Swachh Hyderabad’, the situation at the busy Suchitra Junction returned to what it used to be earlier. GHMC sanitation wing has stopped the cleaning of garbage here leaving it strewn around the main road. All the shops and residents too along the main road have been contributing to the mess. Even persons travelling in vehicles come to this open stretch of road to dump their garbage. As a result the whole area has been stinking.

Even dogs have started creating havoc at the place with many spending a lot of time foraging through the unclaimed garbage in search of food.

I request the GHMC authorities to act immediately and start cleaning up this road stretch.

Disturbing scenario

The very idea of constructing houses within the Osmania University campus is disturbing.

As of now, OU campus has its own unique flora and fauna which will get extinct after human intervention.

Many argued that there are already families staying in slums inside the campus.

However, these families and limited in number and do not pose a threat to the calm and peaceful environment within the OU campus.
