Ambedkar Vidyanikethan Trust, an organisation run by the family members of balladeer Gaddar, has requested Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to provide housing to the shelter-less families, born and brought up here but sold their homes to meet the finances to get their daughters married.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, managing trustee Vimala Gaddar, secretary of the trust G.V. Vennela and trustee C.L. Yadagiri thanked the former for providing permanent shelter to the poor. They also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for assuring houses to 400 hut-dwellers living along the railway track adjacent to the school run by their trust, Mahabodi Vidyalaya, at Alwal.
