Oklahoma High School Uncovers Pristine Vintage Chalkboards

Last week while contractors at Emerson High School in Oklahoma City were doing work in the classrooms, they uncovered several pristine chalkboards underneath another set of chalkboards from nearly a hundred years ago.

These photos show the vintage teachings, untouched for decades. The boards are dated November 30th and December 4th 1917 and depict lessons in handwriting, music and math.

There are even impressive, detailed and sorta creepy drawings of things like turkeys and children.

According the Washington Post, the current chalkboards are being removed and will be replaced by whiteboards. NewsOK.com says officials are working on how to preserve the boards.
