Cash-for-vote scam: YSRC asks, Governor, Centre to intervene

June 08, 2015 05:19 pm | Updated April 03, 2016 02:20 am IST - ONGOLE:

YSR Congress Whip in Parliament Y.V. Subba Reddy urged the Union Government to order a high-level inquiry into the entire gamut of issues involved in the cash-for-vote scam in Telangana.

''It is high time Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan intervenes and ensures that those found guilty are punished'', he said adding that the audio tape released by a section of the media showed that it was Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu who was the pivot in the scam.

''If the Chief Minister believes in moral values, he should demit office to facilitate a free and fair probe into the scam'', the Ongole MP demanded. An independent probe was a must to fix responsibility on those behind the scam, he added.
