The ‘Samara Deeksha’ taken up by YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy was just a ploy to sabotage the construction of the capital and the development of Krishna and Guntur districts, Minister for Major Irrigation Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said . At a press conference here on Wednesday, he launched a scathing attack on the YSRC chief and charged the YSR Congress of acting hand-in glove with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

In the past efforts to get a tyre factory for Mangalagiri were also sabotaged and now the same was being done to the capital, he said. Though two MLAs from the YSR Congress defected to the TRS, the party head was totally silent over the issue, he alleged, adding that land was not earmarked on such a large scale for any capital city in the country.
