Revanth grilled on call details
HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA A Revanth Reddy and two other accused, who were arrested in the cash-for-vote scam, were reportedly confronted with call data related to telephonic calls they made to 14 different numbers on Day-1 of the Anti-Corruption-Bureau (ACB) custody on Saturday.
The ACB court principal special judge had allowed the ACB custody of the TDP leader and two others for four days.

Around 8 am, an ACB team went to the Cherlapalli jail and took custody of Rudra Uday Simha and bishop Harry Sebastian. Later, at around 1.30 pm, Revanth Reddy was taken into custody.
ACB sources said they first questioned Uday Simha and Sebastian. Based on the information provided by the two, they later questioned Revanth Reddy.
Prior to Revanth Reddy meeting nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson, who was handed over Rs 50 lakh to vote in favour of the TDP candidate during the MLC election, the ACB officials, during their investigation, found that the trio had made repeated calls to 14 different persons, including a few MLAs.
On Saturday, the ACB grilled the trio, at their headquarters in Banjara Hills, on the telephonic calls. On Day-2, the officials might question them on the money trail. After the questioning, which ended at 4.30 pm, the ACB officials took the trio to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) office, Basheerbagh where they would be spending the night. Three officers reportedly questioned the trio separately.

The ACB officials on Saturday deposited the seized mobile phones, cash and other evidence from the scene of offence during the trap.
Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy filed a petition in the ACB court requesting that he be taken back to the Cherlapalli jail after questioning sessions during remaining three-day custody instead of lodging him at the SIT office.
In his petition, he also requested the court to curtail his custody as the ACB officials did not call him for questioning for nearly half-a-day on Saturday. His petition might come up for hearing on Monday.
