AHMEDABAD: Talented tennis player from Ahmedabad Dhyen Shah stole the show on the third day of AITA Super Series tournament. Playing in the boys' under-16 singles category, the unseeded Dhyen created a major upset when he stormed past the seventh seed Rajneesh Bhandari 6-1, 6-2 to move into the semis. Meanwhile, top seed Megh Patel overcame a spirited show from sixth seed Dev Javia 6-0, 7-6 (4), fifth seed Atharva Sharma eased past Dhrumil Thakkar 6-2, 6-3 while third seed Calvin Golmie battled it hard to beat Dharmil Shah 7-6 (4), 7-6 (2) to book their semi-final berths.
In boys' under-14 category, top seed Dev, fifth seed Madhwin Kamath, fourth seed Dhrumil and second seed Aaryan Zaveri faced little hassle to book semi-final berths.
In girls' under-14 category, sixth seed Rutuparna Choudhary, third seed Sanya Singh, fourth seed Bhakti Parwani and second seed Shreya Gulia reached the last four. In girls' under-16 singles, top seed Vaidehi Chaudhary, fourth seed Shreya, third seed Kritika Chhabra and unseeded Kiran Kalkal won their quarterfinal matches.
