Traffic to be diverted

Vehicular movement between Indira Circle (Raghava Kala Mandir) and Gadagi Chennappa Circle will be diverted on Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. around the counting centre at Municipal School grounds.

Vehicles, heading towards Anantapur Road, will be diverted through Court Road to reach Indira Circle and join Anantapur Road.

Vehicles coming from Anantapur Road and heading towards Hosapete Road will be diverted at Indira Circle to Krishnamachari Road-Meenakshi Circle to join Hosapete Road near BSNL office.

The police have also said that entry into the counting centre would be restricted to pass-holders and they will be allowed to carry only a sheet of paper and a ballpoint pen.

Carrying mobile phones, water bottles, match-boxes, lighters, beedi/cigarettes, lethal weapons among others have been banned.

Even the vijayotsava of winning candidates has been banned.
