KOZHIKODE: Town police have arrested three persons in connection with the attack on a cinema hall in city. Apsara cinema was attacked by agitated viewers who were irritated as the movie got interrupted owing to technical snarls.
Those arrested by the police are Jamsheer from Panniyankara, Mahesh from Payyanakkal and Fyjas from Puthiyara. The search is on for over 50 identifiable accused.

The theatre was packed with many families. According to police officials, the show went undisturbed till the intermission. The viewers started throwing papers and bottles as the show failed to resume 10 minutes after the interval.
A group of viewers later turned violent and started damaging the chairs and screen.
According to the Cinema hall management they suffered a loss of Rs 15 lakh following the violence.
The incident occurred around 10.45 pm on Wednesday. Though the theatre management offered to return the money or arrange a special show on Friday for those who could not watch the movie completely, a group of violent mob continued creating a mess.
Police personnel from Town police station reached the spot immediately.
The theatre management resumed movie show on Thursday morning after replacing the screen and repairing the chairs. Only the 8.45 show was cancelled on Thursday.
