Adulterated ghee racket busted

A ghee adulteration racket being run, allegedly by a group of businessmen, at Mangalhat was busted on Wednesday. Police seized 3,250 litres of adulterated ghee worth Rs.9.75 lakh from them. Sachin Agarwal, Rahul Agarwal, Ravi Singh and Sanjay Agarwal of Narayanguda would procure Dalda and Palmolive oil from the market, said DCP (West) A Venkateswera Rao. “They would then mix the items thoroughly, add about 10 per cent of Vijaya Ghee to it, and sell them in packets under various brand names,” Mr. Rao said.
