Officers seize gun from teen riding Staten Island bus

Cops pulled four guns off the streets of Staten Island from Tuesday night into Wednesday afternoon, police said.

The first recovery came just after 11:15 p.m. Tuesday when eagle-eyed cops spotted a 14-year-old boy boarding the S46 bus near Harbor Road and Brabant Street in Mariners Harbor without paying his fare, authorities said.

When the officers closed in, they spied the butt of a loaded .38 caliber handgun protruding from the teen scofflaw’s hoodie pocket, cops said.

The teen, whose identity was withheld due to his age, was arrested on charges including weapons possession, pot possession, and fare evasion.

Just before 3 p.m. Wednesday, the 121st Precinct’s official Twitter account touted a far larger bust. The circumstances of the bust were not immediately known.
