    Government to extend all support to enhance educational standards at NIFT: Santosh Kumar Gangwar

    Currently, the institute has more than 30 MoUs with foreign fashion schools for student and faculty exchange, conferences, seminars and exhibitions.

    NEW DELHI: The government will extend all necessary support in taking the standard of education and placement in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) to greater heights, Textiles Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar said today.
    Speaking at the institute's convocation here, he said apart from opening new centres, it is important to maintain and continually enhance the quality of the centres as well.

    The Minister awarded degrees to 310 graduating students, 87 post-graduates and 219 under-graduates.

    NIFT is ranked among top 50 universities in the world in the field of fashion technology.

    Currently, the institute has more than 30 MoUs with foreign fashion schools for student and faculty exchange, conferences, seminars and exhibitions.

    Recently, the students have designed a collection with IKEA that has been launched globally in May in Sweden.

    Today, NIFT has fifteen campuses across India.
