Pachmarhi in grip of heatwave, temp at 41°C

Only hill station of state, Pachmarhi, located in the Satpura ranges is unusually hot during this part of the year, this time. Hot winds continued to sweep Pachmarhi where mercury again touched 41 degrees celsius on Monday.

BHOPAL: Only hill station of state, Pachmarhi, located in the Satpura ranges is unusually hot during this part of the year, this time. Hot winds continued to sweep Pachmarhi where mercury again touched 41 degrees celsius on Monday. It was 8 degrees above normal mark.
State experienced extreme heatwave conditions with Naugaon, Umaria and Datia recording a temperature of 46 degrees celsius and being the hottest places in the state.

Pachmarhi has been reeling under severe heatwave conditions for past one week with maximum temperature continuing to be around 40 degrees. On Monday, it went up by a degree.
Some parts of northern Madhya Pradesh including Gwalior, Bhind and Morena witnessed dust and thunderstorm during the afternoon.
Local weather office attributed this to pre monsoon activity. It also issued warning of duststorm and heat wave conditions in the districts of Gwalior, Chambal, Rewa, Sagar and Ujjain divisions. On Tuesday, meteorological office said there would be a slight fall in temperature in southern Madhya Pradesh while weather will remain dry in the remaining parts of the state.
Heat wave claims one in Singrauli: Heat wave claimed one life in Singrauli district earlier in the day. It is learnt Rambhawan Sen, 35, a resident of Gharoli, suffered heatstroke and was being treated at a private hospital for past couple of days. On Monday, his kin brought him to Nehru hospital for treatment after his condition deteriorated. During treatment he died. Doctors informed kin of patient that he has been hit by heatstroke.
