LAHORE: Four workers were injured when a gas cylinder exploded in a shop in Sherakot here on Monday.
Wasif, Bashir, Majid and Rizwan were working at a welding shop when its cylinder exploded with a bang. The area people shifted the four injured workers to Mayo Hospital where two of them were said to be in critical condition.
Police said the cylinder blast also damaged the roof of the shop.
ACCIDENT: An unidentified man was killed in an accident on Multan Road near Manga Mandi on Monday.
Police said the old man in 60s was standing along the road when a car hit and injured him.
An ambulance of the Edhi Foundation shifted the injured to Jinnah Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Police took the body in custody and shifted it to a morgue for an autopsy.
Police registered a case against the absconding driver.

Two armed men entered the house of Salman in Lower Mall police precinct, held his family at gunpoint and took away cash, jewellery and valuables worth Rs500,000.
Three robbers stormed into the shop of Arshad in Ghaziabad and took away cash and valuables worth Rs400,000.
Some robbers barged into the house of Aftab in Mozang police jurisdiction and took away cash, jewellery and valuables worth Rs400,000.
Two motorcyclists stopped Imran and his family at gunpoint in Township police precinct and snatched away cash worth Rs200,000.
