The body of one Shailesh Massey, which was buried in Udham Singh Nagar’s Bajpur area, was exhumed following court orders.
Shailesh died under mysterious circumstances in June last year and the body was buried without post-mortem, Udham Singh Nagar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Nilesh Anand Bharney said. Shailesh’s father suspected that his son’s wife was involved in the death so he approached the court in February this year, Mr Bharney said. An FIR was lodged in the case and following the court orders the body was exhumed on Sunday, he said.
The body was exhumed and medical procedures will be done to investigate the case, Mr Bharney said.
