Subash Agarwal, chairman of ARSS, a leading construction company, was arrested here on Sunday in connection with the firing targeted at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited Joint General Manager Projects Ajay Kumar.

Mr. Kumar was on his way to his residence at Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar on Saturday afternoon when unidentified miscreants waylaid his vehicle and fired at him. He was, however, not hurt.

In his complaint , Mr. Kumar had named ARSS chief as the person behind the attack.“We have come across many incidents which had direct links with the current attack. ARSS is a contractor in the Angul-Sukinda railway project. The Railway Joint GM had slapped fines on ARSS for not adhering to project parameters. Mr. Agarwal had bullied Mr. Kumar in the month of February last,” Satyabrarata Bhoi, Deputy Commissioner of Police, said.
