The police on Friday conducted raids at two sports goods stores in Chalakudy and Angamaly for selling duplicate badminton rackets.
During the raid, held in association with officials of an international sports goods manufacturing company, several fake badminton rackets manufactured under the name of Yonex were recovered. “We filed a complaint with the Kerala police, based on which, the raids were held at two sports shops, Sports Bazar and Shan Sports in Angamaly and Chalakudy,” said Jugal Viswa Rao, a company official.
Cases have been registered against the shop owners.
