First championship point for Azlan in Mugello as Hafizh crashes out


Azlan finished the Moto2 race in 15th spot to claim his first-ever world championship point.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman finally secured a point in the World Championship at the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello.

The 30-year-old Idemitsu Honda Team Asia rider completed the 21-lap Moto2 race in 40:08.260 to finish 15th. Azlan’s previous best finish was 17th at last month’s Argentina Grand Prix.
