As many as 42,202 students received their degrees in the golden jubilee convocation of Bangalore University, held at the at the Jnana Jyothi Convention Centre in Bengaluru on Saturday.

During the ceremony, Parvathamma Rajkumar, G.K. Narayana Reddy, and S. Chinnaswamy Mambally were conferred honorary doctorates.

One of the oldest universities in India, Bangalore University was set up in 1964.
