PETALING JAYA: Two laws passed by Parliament recently showed Malaysia's seriousness in fighting terrorism, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said at the United Nations in New York.
The Home Minister said the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA) and Special Measures Against Terrorism in Foreign Countries (better known as the Foreign Fighters Bill) were aimed at curbing the spread of Islamic State and other terror elements.
