The police on Tuesday arrested a 19-year-old youth on charges of stealing a sedan parked in front of a hotel at Aurobindo Street. The complainant Abhishek, a techie from Bengaluru had parked the car in front of the hotel and had accidentally dropped the keys on the road. When he returned he found the car missing and lodged a complaint with the Grand Bazaar police. A team that was constituted examined footage of CCTV in the vicinity of the hotel. The suspect was identified as S. Dileep who was involved in several vehicle thefts. He was arrested and the car was recovered.
