SARAJEVO, May 30 (KUNA) -- The 7th session of the fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) forum on Friday appreciated support to forum by Kuwait under His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The conferees, in a final statement, thanked the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Kuwait Ambassador in Sarajevo for contributing to the success of the international annual forum.
Director of BiH Waqf Directorate Senaid Zajimovic welcomed the results of the forum, saying that the status of the forum is rising as seen in the growing number of participants year after year.
"BiH Waqf Directorate was able to play an active role in the management of 'waqf' (religious endowments) in a short time thanks to the technical and financial assistance from Kuwait Awqaf Public Foundation (KAPF)," he said in a statement to KUNA.
The two-day forum was co-organized here by KAPF, the Islamic Development Bank and the Bosnian Islamic affairs dept. under auspices of Bosnian member of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegovic. (end)
