According to a May 21 Sprint press release, Sprint’s “network in Lansing, Michigan, received shared 1st place rankings for call and text performance.” The ranking was based on a report by independent mobile analytics firm RootMetrics.

Call performance in Lansing in 1H15

Based on RootMetrics’ 1H15 results, Sprint shared the top spot in call performance with AT&T (T) and Verizon (VZ) in the Lansing, Michigan, market. The three wireless carriers also shared first place in the Lansing market in 2H14. T-Mobile (TMUS) retained its last spot in this metric.

According to RootMetrics, in the 1H15 Lansing market tests, blocked calls were not witnessed on Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon networks.

Text performance in Lansing in 1H15

In terms of text performance in 1H15, Sprint shared the top spot with T-Mobile and AT&T in the Lansing market. Sprint’s score in the text performance metric for the Lansing market improved in 1H15. It increased from 96.4 in 2H14 to 99 in 1H15. According to RootMetrics, these scores largely indicate quality of customer experience while texting. Sprint shared the top spot in this metric with T-Mobile and Verizon in the Lansing market in 2H14. Verizon got the last spot in the market’s text performance rankings in 1H15.
