91 students with A1 grade push Surat to second spot in Gujarat

A total of 91 students from Surat district secured A1 grade in the class XII science stream examinations conducted by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), the results of which were announced on Thursday.

SURAT: A total of 91 students from Surat district secured A1 grade in the class XII science stream examinations conducted by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB), the results of which were announced on Thursday. The number of A1 grade students in Surat happens to be highest in Gujarat after 104 by Rajkot.
At least 17 students of PP Savani School, Hirabaug, secured A1 grade, which was highest in Surat city.
Eight students from T&TV School in Nanpura also secured A1 grade. The students said annual study pattern and regular practice were the reasons behind their success.
Around 93.84% students cleared their examinations in Surat city and district, 84.80% in Valsad district, 83.79% in Bharuch district, 79.57% in Navsari district, 71.27% in Tapi district and 65.86% in Dang district. The examination results of students in Dang district were lowest in south Gujarat. "It is a matter of pride for all students and schools that 91 students from Surat have secured A1 grade, second highest in the state. A total of 93.84% students have cleared their class XII science stream examinations from Surat district," said U N Rathod, district education officer, Surat.
