LUDHIANA: Chaos marked declaration of CBSE class X result on Thursday. Students and school staff had been waiting for the result from daybreak and when it was finally declared around 2pm, heavy traffic led to crashing of the website, irking schools and students.
As the time of declaration of result was not mentioned on CBSE website, everyone was expecting it to be out in the morning.
However, the CBSE website was down and neither schools nor students were able to access the portal.
Principal of Kundan Vidya Mandir, Navita Puri said, "Our staff members had been trying to access the result portal of CBSE from morning, but the server was down. Now when the result is out, the website has crashed. Students are calling again and again asking us for result details."
Earlier, the change in date of announcement of result had kept students on their toes. A student of class X, Kartik Arora said, "For last two-three days, uncertainty has been hallmark of our result. We were told that class X result will be out on Tuesday and then it was declared on the website that it will be announced on Thursday. We have been waiting for it since morning. However, till the afternoon, the result portal was not accessible; anxiety and nervousness was at its peak. And then, the website crashed."
Regional head of CBSE, RJ Khanderoa said, "It was expected that the website will crash as all schools try to access the result portal at the same time."
