When Tyler, the Creator tweets, the world listens.

At least that’s what happened Wednesday night, when the rapper seemed to imply that his Los Angeles-based hip-hop crew, Odd Future, had broken up.

Saying he was going through old pictures of the group, Tyler wrote, “i miss my friends alot. 5 years later isnt that long but wow soooo much has happened.”

Then he said, “although its no more, those 7 letters are forever,” referring presumably to OFWGKTA, an acronym by which Odd Future is also known.

That comment was retweeted more than 21,000 times, which evidently led Tyler early Thursday to write, “WHAT THE HELL DID I WAKE UP TO.”

“ALL I WAS DOING WAS LOOKING AT OLD PHOTOS WITH FRIENDS AND THINKING ABOUT HOW TIME FLIES,” he added. “CRAZY HOW ONE TWEET CAN STIR SO MUCH.”

Reached for comment Thursday, an Odd Future representative said he had nothing about the group to report.
