B3P to be implemented in 21 districts of Haryana in totality : Dr Rakesh Gupta

Chandigarh, May 28 (UNI) Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (B3P) programme, dream project of Prime Minister Narender Modi launched nationally at Panipat, is to be implemented in the 21 districts of Haryana in totality, Additional Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister Rakesh Gupta today said. Dr Gupta was addressing the Video Conference (VC) on “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” (B3P) with 21 districts here today. During the VC Mr S Narayanan, Mission Director, National Health Mission, Haryana, Ms Pavneet Kaur, Director, Women and Child Development (WCD), Mr Alok Verma, Project Director, Sarv Sikhya Abhiyaan (SSA), Mr Yoginder Malik, Adivser to Chief Minister, Haryana on B3P, Dr Kamla Singh, Additional Director General Health Services, Haryana and State officers of Health, WCD and SSA were also present. In the districts Deputy Commissioner, Civil Surgeons and head of department of all the line department of the districts were present during the VC. Dr Gupta said extra efforts should be made to save the girl child, educate and empower her in the society. To improve the sex ratio of Haryana by implementing PC and PNDT Act, with regular monitoring of Ultra Sound Centers by district appropriate authorities, monitoring legal prosecution under MTP Act 1971 and curbing over the counter sale of MTP kits.
