Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Shahid, Sonakshi, Arjun announce IIFA 2015

This year, S-Cross IIFA Awards will be hosted by none other than ‘Gunday’ pair, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.

Day 1 of the IIFA Weekend will have IIFA Rocks, followed by a screening of the much-anticipated ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ on Day 2, which will have the full cast – Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Shefali Shah, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar in attendance along with their director Zoya Akhtar. The awards will wrap up the weekend on Day 3.

Anil Kapoor, who plays the role of Mr. Mehra in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, was excited and entertained the media at IIFA announcements. “You can expect something really spectacular this year,” said the evergreen actor. “This IIFA I promise you is going to rock, bellowed Kapoor on the mic.”

Anil Kapoor was also full of praise for nephew Arjun, who was also at the event. “Arjun has taken me by surprise. Whenever I meet you and interact with you, it’s absolutely fantastic. This is just the beginning, just the tip of the iceberg. You are going to be huge,” said the encouraging uncle.

Talking about IIFA, Anil Kapoor said: “It’s world class. I have traveled all over the world, witnessed lots of awards and walked a lot of red carpets. But, IIFA is the best. The IIFA Weekend is a unique combination of awards, fashion shows, serious conversation and business.”

“I have many memories of IIFA, even before I became an actor. I am getting a chance to host the awards with my baba, Ranveer Singh. It’s been fantastic to be part of IIFA on so many occasions. I have enjoyed them every single time,” said Arjun Kapoor.

Hrithik Roshan did not shy away from expressing his fondness and excitement for the awards. “I love you IIFA and all the people behind IIFA. IIFA is all about the moments. It is about taking each moment and creating something magical with it,” said the Greek God.

Newly engaged Shahid Kapoor who has previosuly hosted the awards night, was also present. However, this time the actor who is also a very talented dancer, was all praise for Hrithik Roshan. “When you once in a while stand next to, sit next, act next to, Hrithik Roshan, it just reminds you of the fact that you have a really long way to go as a dancer,” said the ‘Haider’ actor.

Sonakshi Sinha, on the other hand was a beauty in black. The actress will be seen performing at two separate shows during the grand IIFA Weekend.
