Delay in CBSE results keeps students on tenterhooks
BHOPAL: Confusion prevailed among Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) students of more than 60 schools on Wednesday as they eagerly waited for their Class 10 results which were to be declared. But by evening, CBSE website and another government website – results.gov.in, both put up bulletins that CBSE Class 10 results would be declared on May 28.

CBSE website - cbseresults.nic.in did not display a specific time on its site. Initially, there was a notification that results would be declared at 1 pm, which was later taken down. On May 25, when CBSE 12 results were declared, both websites showed that CBSE Class 10 results would be out on May 27. But this notice too was later taken down from websites. Reportedly, due to unknown reasons, declaration of results has been postponed by a day by CBSE.CBSE conducted the board-based scheme in examination from March 2 to March 26. The school-based scheme in examination was held on March 10 onwards earlier this year. Scheme I exam is for students who wish to continue with CBSE after Class 10; and scheme II is for students who intend to move out of CBSE system to a vocational course, a pre-university course or another board.
